Father Carlos Munilla Serrano
My name is Carlos Munilla Serrano. I was born on December 21, 1978, in Zaragoza, the northeastern region of Spain. After my degree in Philosophy and History, I was playing as a professional footballer soccer between 1995 and 2004. In 2003, I entered to Seminary in Zaragoza, receiving some missionaries experiences in South-America (Venezuela). I studied also psychology for three years. In 2008, I was ordinated as a deacon in February and as a priest in July. I worked as a diocesan priest for 4 years in the countryside in Spain (Longares and Alfamen). I joined to IEME (my group of Spanish missionaries) in 2012.
After that I studied English in Ireland (Maynooth) for a 9 months and finally, I arrived to Japan in 2014, 22 of March. Immediately after my arrival, I went to ECC International School of Japanese language and studied Japanese for two years.
After my graduation from the language school, I have been working mainly in parishes in the dioceses of Osaka. I started my pastoral work in Kishiwada, Hamadera and Izumi Church.
Presently, I am priest in charge of Umeda and Sekime Church, and also of Catholic Center of Sacra Familia.
Sister Yoshizumi Eriko
My name is Sister Yoshizumi Eriko, nice to meet you.
I was baptized at the Tetori Church in Kumamoto. I joined the religious Congregation of Saint Joseph in Osaka (Mother House in Minoo). I received the blessing of taking temporary vows in 2002 and permanent vows in 2008. I have been working at the Umeda Block since 2009.
I have lived in a Community near the Church of Sekime for about 8 years, but after the closure of Sekime, I am now living in the Community of Sonoda. I am mainly in charge of administrative affairs and some pastoral tasks. Thank you.
Father Joseph Bradly Rozairo
My name is Father Joseph Bradly Rozairo. I was born on October 30, 1964, in Trincomalee, the northeastern region of Sri Lanka. After graduating from high school, I joined a religious Congregation by the name of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate (OMI) founded in France and was ordained a priest on August 22, 1992.
After the ordination, I had two years of experience in Hospital Chaplaincy in Colombo, Sri Lanka. I received obedience from the Superior General and came to Japan on September 2, 1994. Immediately after my arrival, I went to Nagoya YWCA language school and studied Japanese for two years. Besides the language, I also studied a little bit of Japanese history and society at Nanzan University.
After my graduation from the language school, I have been working mainly in parishes in the dioceses of Fukuoka, Takamatsu and Osaka. Presently, I am attached to the Oblate community in Itami. Since 2017 I have been part of the pastoral team of Umeda Block serving the churches in Umeda and Sekime.
I am Father Akabae, I work as a collaborating priest of the Block of Umeda (Umeda and Sekime Church) since April 2016.
I belong to the Society of Saint Paul. It has been over 40 years since I was ordained as a priest. I have been involved in teaching middle and high school students; also, in the edition of newspapers and magazines. But I recognize that being able to collaborate pastorally here, gives me great joy.
